Jet surfing on water
June 16th, 2006If you are a snowboarder like me you probably already tried other board sports like wakeboarding, surfing, windsurfing or skateboarding, but there is always someone that want to push the limits and PowerSki International has really done that.
They have built a surfboard with an compact engine that will give this water craft speeds in excess of 65 km/h (40 mph) which sound almost to very fast. From the pictures and videos on PowerSki’s webpage you can do almost the same as you can do on other boards without the need of wind, waves or hills. It’s just to lean over and the board turns like any board should do and as you can see you really can lean in.

Haven’t seen this in the local shops yet, but this is something I for sure want to try out. At the moment I only can see one drawback with the JetBoard and that is the incompatibility with my wallet. It has a suggested retail price of USD 7.995, but this will hopefully go down.
